The Top Women in Healthcare Award recognizes women in the medical field who are passionate about driving change, as it relates to diversity and inclusion.   • Retains a commendable reputation with colleagues, superiors and patients.
  • Exhibits and demonstrates a commitment to the highest ethical standards and professional excellence.
  • Demonstrates a consistent pattern of commitment to the recruitment, training, development and retention of individuals from all populations.

The Top Diversity Champions Award honors healthcare professionals who are passionate about creating an impact in the field of diversity and inclusion. Diversity champions continue to put DiversityFIRST through visionary leadership and commitment to fostering change for ages to come. Nominees should be leading advocates for cultural competency and awareness in medicine, as it pertains to an inclusive community.

Criteria:

  • Established an innovative organizational culture with an extraordinary and unfailing commitment to diversity, inclusion, cultural competency, community outreach and patient satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated a consistent pattern of an innovative organizational commitment to the recruitment, development and retention of individuals from all populations.
  • Developed and implemented effective initiatives as demonstrated by a diversified workforce in which all persons are afforded opportunities for employment and upward mobility regardless of difference.
  • Cultivated and promoted diversity initiatives that establish and foster a more inclusive and equitable work environment.

The Top Leaders in Healthcare Award honors medical professionals who are changemakers in the area of diversity and inclusion. These individuals possess the highest commitment to growth and the advancement of an inclusive community. This award honors leaders who are advancing healthcare in meaningful and moving ways within society at-large.
